Croft is one of the most distinguished Port wine producing houses.
Founded in 1588, it is the oldest active company in the area and known for Vintage Ports. It is based in Quinta da Roêda, also known as the Douro jewel. Vintage Ports are made exclusively from single-crop grapes. Bottled after two years in barrels, it is in the bottle that the long and slow aging process turns young wine into a magnificent Vintage Port.
More structured than some recent Vintages of this classic house, 2011 displays all the rich ripe fruit and exotic fragrant character associated with the Croft house style.
