There has long been a desire to identify the origins of the Quinta da Gaivosa terroir. The quality of the different vineyards involved in this prestigious red Douro was well known.

And that was how the Lordelo Vineyard was rediscovered - the oldest of the Quinta da Gaivosa vineyards. A surprising collection of 30 autochthonous grape varieties planted together (including rarities like “Black Malvasia”).
