Taylor's is one of the few existing houses to produce a 30 Year Old Tawny Port.
Only every two or three years a port wine reserve is produced with sufficient structure, fruit and vigor to age for a long time. The wines that make up the reserve are aged in oak casks. Those who have reached their peak after 30 years are then crowded to achieve balance and delicacy as well as to ensure consistency of style quality. The 30 year old tawny is one of those wines.
The wines are aged in oak casks in Taylor's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Here the cool, wet coastal climate allows for a smooth and slow aging process, producing aromas of great complexity and delicacy.
